Exhibition by Quimper artist Lise Pennec

The media library in Poullan sur mer welcomes Lise Pennec, an artist from Quimper. She studied visual arts and contemporary dance. In her drawings, fabrics, patterns and colours become playgrounds where bodies, silhouettes and sometimes faces gradually appear. Some of her drawings are in black and white, others in colour, offering a variety of shapes and textures. Her technique combines ink, felt-tip pen, watercolour pencils... giving the drawings details to be discovered by taking the time to look. Lise Pennec's work invites the viewer to look differently, to search for hidden shapes and to be surprised by the dialogue between background, setting and figure.
