Description
On stage, EMEZI really gets the crowd going!
With this new live set, the band embraces a more intense energy, designed for an audience ready to dance.
United by their shared passions, Perynn and Elise are pushing the boundaries of Breton music, drawing inspiration from artists such as Beyoncé, Jacob Collier, Ariana Grande and Mayra Andrade. Their name, which means ‘she says’ in Breton, affirms their desire to express themselves fully in their mother tongue. EMEZI are reinventing Breton music with a contemporary, sensual and ultra-groovy R&B pop sound.
To realise this new ambition on stage, the group has expanded with the arrival of Tudi Cariou, a drummer and keyboardist. His versatility allows him to switch between drums and bass lines, giving their live performances an immediately noticeable richness. This line-up enables the singers to devote themselves fully to singing, movement and connecting with the audience.
Both on stage and in their songs, Perynn and Elise draw on their everyday lives for inspiration. In Breton, a language they proudly embrace, they express joy, anxiety, anger and femininity. Thanks to its distinctive, emphatic accent, Breton has a snappy, groovy quality and fits naturally into pop and R&B aesthetics, which are usually associated with other languages that have strong accents, such as English.
EMEZI delivers a concert brimming with raw energy and palpable warmth, where the music sets the audience alight just as much as it brings them together!
