Description
Trained in neuroscience and a graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure du Paysage de Versailles, Isabelle Otto spent 15 years pursuing both a sensitive and socially engaged practice in landscape design and a visual art practice through photography and sculpture. In 2017, she decided to devote herself entirely to photography.
Isabelle Otto’s photographic landscape draws on her often ‘unconventional’ perspective on societal spaces and the events that shape them but which sometimes elude us. Her concern for ‘the other’ – whoever or whatever that may be (human, animal, plant or even the landscape itself…) – becomes apparent to the viewer who takes the time to look closely.
