This walk allows you to discover the soul of Douarnenez and understand its history, which is so closely linked to the epic story of the sardine. Stroll through the town’s streets and alleyways, with their 19th-century architecture and old canneries tucked away amongst the houses. Stroll through the old harbour – a reminder of the old Douarnenez – as far as the sailors’ shelter, a sacred place for fishermen. Booking required at the Tourist Office.
