Description
This 16th-century church, listed as a historic monument in 1910, houses two remarkable altarpieces. The Rosary Altarpiece (17th century) was fully restored and reinstalled in 2023. The Descent from the Cross altarpiece was fully restored and reinstalled in 2024, featuring, at its centre, a Pietà – a painting donated by Napoleon III (1864) to the church in Ploaré. Guided tours are offered by volunteers from the association ‘Les amis de Saint Herlé’. These tours provide an insight into past and ongoing restoration work.
